Amtrak Derailment Lessons Learned.

Battalion Chief Ryan Fox is a 23-year member of Lacey Fire District 3 currently holding the rank of Battalion Chief. He and his wife Rachel have been married 23 years and have two teen aged children. Chief Fox enjoys the outdoors, water sports, music and the Fire Service! He is passionate about leading people and believes that good internal customer service spills out to the streets. Chief Fox was one of the initial arriving Chief officers to the Amtrak 501 derailment on December 18 of 2017 and worked as an IC in the unified command post. Since that incident, he has presented at Fire Rescue International and has trained with various organizations in the area of MCI and Leadership.
